My Vision for Buffalo Schools:

As your next School Board Member for the Ferry District, I’m committed to tackling the challenges our students, families, and educators face. Here are the priorities I’ll champion to build a brighter future for our community.

Support Student Mental Health: Advocate for counselors in every school, trauma recovery services, and mental health awareness programs.

Strengthen Parent Engagement: Launch parent forums, collaborate with parent groups and provide tools to support academic success.

Address Attendance and Graduation Rates: Develop and collaborate with existing mentorship programs, remove attendance barriers, and set goals to boost graduation rates.

Empower Future Leaders with Career Readiness and Life Skills

Enhance awareness of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs while equipping students with essential financial literacy and job skills. Provide hands-on learning opportunities through apprenticeships and internships with local businesses, ensuring every Buffalo Public High School student is prepared for success in the workforce and beyond.

Improve Student Literacy: Ensure grade-level reading by third grade, provide tutoring programs, and partner with libraries for free book access.

Retain and Support Teachers: Advocate for better pay, professional development, and a supportive environment to retain diverse educators.

Enhance School Safety and Make Student Voices Heard: Implement restorative justice, update security measures, and promote anti-bullying initiatives for inclusive schools.
